Coopers Ginger Beer

by Brewing Kit on August 13, 2010

A look at my Homebrewing roots, which all stared from Hopped malt syrup kits in Australia with my flatmates (Rick, Matthew, Curtis, Zabin). A much easier way to make beer than my previous video!

Tasted pretty darn refreshing at 2.2%ABV. Never tried bumping it up, but it would be easy – add more malt extract, or dextrose. Not sure how it would taste with the extra alcohol, because I have plenty of beers that will knock me out if I so desire :)

THRobinson – my sanitizer is a no-rinse formulation. It covers all surfaces with foam, and it only needs to stay there for 30s, and then you’re done. No foul tastes yet in any of my beers.

Been trying to find this in Canada with no luck when I came across this video on google.

Gotta ask… what was the final gravity? or alcohol %?

Also, for the sanitizer… after sloshing it around in the fermenter did you have to rinse it or just pour it out and done? I may switch sanitizers if that’s the case. :)

So how did it turn out? Would a higher ABV be better?

Sorry about the confusion. Corn sugar is dextrose.

At the start you say you add corn sugar but then later you say dextrose. Which did you use?
